KC performs well in comedy

I have been watching the new series "Lovers in Paris" over channel 2. I must say that I am a fan of Sharon Cuneta. From being a fan of the megastar, it transcended to her daughter, KC Concepcion. I must say that I am impressed with the way KC delivers her lines. She is funny without even trying. I love her better in comedy than in drama. She is really good and she went beyond my expectations. Go and watch Lovers in Paris airs Monday - Friday  at 8:30 PM after "May Bukas Pa."

No to sex tape for Megan Fox

Rising Hollywood Star, Megan Fox promises that her name will not be attached into doing sex tapes. Being in the limelight, people take everything from  you. They strip you off your privacy. They invade your private life. Everything one says and does gets judged.  She was quoted to have said:

 So, to all of you out there, sorry to disappoint you.

Earlier this year, it was reported that the actress was being considered to play Lara Croft, Tomb Raider, which was originally played by Angelina Jolie. Another actress who displayed an interest in playing the role is Jennifer Love Hewitt. Jennifer has mentioned that she loves to do an action movie, and this is one role that she likes  to do.

No classes until Saturday

Due to the calamity brought about by the recent typhoon Ondoy, classes is suspended until Saturday, 2 October 2009.

MANILA, Philippines – (UPDATE 4) Classes in all levels in areas affected by storm "Ondoy" will remain suspended from Wednesday until Saturday, education officials announced Tuesday.

Education Secretary Jesli Lapus said there would be no classes in public and private elementary and high schools in the National Capital Region or Metro Manila this Wednesday.

Classes in the metropolis have been suspended since Monday due to the onslaught of storm "ondoy" over the weekend.

Kenneth Tirado, DepEd public information chief, said elementary and high school classes in Cavite province; Cainta, Rizal; and Sta. Rosa, Pami, Mabitac, and Calamba in Laguna would be suspended until Friday.

Emanuel Angeles of the Commission on Higher Education said there would be no classes in public and private colleges in the calamity areas until Saturday.

Lapus said on Tuesday the Department of Education decided to suspend classes in the metropolis for one more day to give way to relief efforts for victims of "Ondoy."

He added that many of the public schools in NCR have been tapped as evacuation centers for close to 8,000 families.

In radio interviews Tuesday morning, Lapus said other stormn-hit provinces could decide on their own to keep the classes suspended for a few more days, depending on their situation.

Jennifer Love Hewitt's  new attitude as far as dieting is concerned has paid off. Her new figure really looks amazing. She has the perfect curves at the right place.  What she does is to only keep foods for a couple of days. I believe that it is a good move.  You will not be tempted to eat everything you see in the refrigerator. Wise decision.

KC makes sense

If there is one female celebrity who I love listening to being interviewed next to Sharon Cuneta, it is no other than her daughter, KC Concepcion. Last night was the first part of her interview on SNN. She became totally honest of her life in school, her first love, a Korean-American. Now, she talked about her mom Sharon Cuneta. How she learned that her mom was the Megastar. It was so nice to see how proud she is of her mother. She also bared that she learned that her mom and papa were separated only when she saw on TV that her dad, Gabby Concepcion got married to Jenny Syquia.

She may have grown up around showbiz people, but the way she answers the questions, you can see that she was totally honest, no showbiz answers. She is one interviewee who really makes sense. A very hardworking girl, never banks on her being the daughter of the Megastar. What is even worth emulating is the way she treats her fellow actors and actresses.

BTW, today is the same date her parents, Sharon Cuneta and Gabby Concepcion got married at the Manila Catherdral.

I watched the September 18, 2009 episode Ellen DeGeneres show, where they played the game "Pictureka".

One of the players, Aussie girl accidentally bangs her head on the game's sinage. Ellen was so nice . She was so concerned of the Aussie girl. She even joked that they do not have the same healthcare system they have in Sydney. They both got a 500 dollar American Express Gift Card. How sweet of her.

Richard Merck's sister and daughter of jazz singer Annie Brazil, Ms. Rachel Anne Wolfe came back home only for "Lovers in Paris."  She plays the older sister of Piolo Pascual and mother of Zanjoe Marudo. She further says that she is not back for good since her family is based in New York. A few more months away from Christmas and she wants to be with her family.

I was checking my  Twitter account just today and have come across Mr. Jim Paredes' Tweet saying "done deal, too many hints already." A link pointed to an article about Mr. Willie Revillame, promising to be a clean politician.

Haaaa! C'mon, he can't be serious. The country is in a state of turmoil, a legacy to be bequeathed by the present administration. Personally, I believe that we need a public official who has a strong political will. No offense meant to Mr. Revillame. But..........oh, oh, oh, please.

Jon Santos has always been one of the most talented impersonators we have around. Latest of his character is that of Korina Sanches - KORONA SANCHES.  I only got to watch his performances on TV. Right now, I just saw him on TV Patrol and he coined a word for Mar Roxas and Korina Sanches. MARINA - first syllable is for Mar Roxas and the 2nd syllable is for Korina Sanches. VERY WITTY.

Patrick Swayze dies at 57

I got the biggest shocking news today. Patrick Swayze is dead at 57. He has been battling cancer for 20 months. I will always remember him in Dirty Dancing. It was actually in that movie that I fell in love with him more than Ghost.

Leonardo DiCaprio in Shutter Island

One of the actors I truly admire is Leonardo DiCaprio. His last movie that I watched was Revolutionary Road opposite former Titanic leading lady, Kate Winslet. He may not have won the Oscars for his role in the said movie, but for me he was the best. 

Another movie that we are looking forward to is his latest movie, Shutter Island 

which will be shown February 2010. Leonardo plays the role of a US Marshal, Teddy Daniels who was tasked to investigate the disappearance of a murderess who escaped from a hospital for the criminally insane and presumed hiding on the remote Shutter Island. The movie is directed by no less, Martin Scorsese.    The movie also stars Mark Ruffalo, Ben Kingsley, Emily Mortimer, Michelle Willliams.

Maricar Reyes moving on

Maricar Reyes has been getting good projects from ABS-CBN. The last time I saw her was in the movie, And I love you. I got to watch the movie twice and I heard the same response from the moviegoers. Oohhhsss and ahhhs. It seems that people have known her well from that very famous scandal involing HK. She made the right move by keeping quiet about the said issue. At least, now she has redeemed herself from it. She has definitely moved on. And one thing I noticed is that she does act well.

She will be seen next in the adaptation of Koreanovela, "Lovers in Paris" with KC Concepion and Piolo Pascual on the 28 of September 2009.

Ever since I watched, Ellen DeGeneres Show last September 9, wherein Antonio Banderas was one of the guests, I can't seem to stop thinking how amazing the guy is. Obviously, he is very sexy. He talked about his wife Melanie. How supportive of him of her, when Melanie wanted to go to rehabilitation. She had become addicted to the drugs used on her knee operation following the skiing accident.

He was so cute when he showed Ellen the Ellen-boxer shorts, cute huh! He was funny, when he said the he kept on looking at his iPhone, waiting for it to ring. It was the first time he ever got himself a cellphone. Can you imagine that?

First time ever to watch an interview of him, and I admit it, I was captured!!!

One of the shows that I really love watching is Trauma: Life in the ER. It shows the real-life action inside the ER. The doctors are the real-life medical heroes. Even the nurses and the other medical staff show so much courage in treating the patients and how collected they still remain despite the emergency. You get to see the different ERs throughout the United States . You will admire the whole medical staff at how they interact with each other in times of life-threatening situations.

This show airs Wednesdays @ 8:00 pm over THE BIOGRAPHY CHANNEL in the Philippines. Don't dare miss it. It makes you value your life more for it can all be gone in just one snap of a finger.

Prettier without Make-up

I was able to watch the trailer of "Lovers in Paris" on ASAP yesterday.

One thing I noticed was that, I think that KC looks even more beautiful without make-up. When you look at her bare face, she shines more. Very seldom do I find this in other actresses of her generation. ........

We have already heard about the case filed by the common-law-wife of Chavit Singson, Rachel "Che" Tiongson against the Ilocus Sur Governor. Che was reported to have been beaten up by Governor Singson. Interviews of the Governor and Che had been aired, and it is up for the public to choose who to believe.

Another personality in this latest chismis is the "piolo-look-alike" Richard Catral. The guy had worked as a Marketing Man for ABS-CBN Foundation. The guy is said to be the "current" of Che and Cogie was her past. Seems to be the letter "C" is the identification of the personalities involved.

Of course, the missing piece in the puzzle is the legal wife of Richard Catral. She maintains a blog called, nappykaye.blogspot.com. To those interested to know about her, kindly visit her blog, First Wives Club. She chronicles her husband's indiscretion for the past 2 years.

you can attempt to rationalize adultery to just about anything: affairs, one night stands, patikim lang, accidents, etc. etc. but that does not negate the fact that what you did is a sin. thing is, you must face your consequences head-on. you cannot shy away from the fact that you chose to sin. but i will not be the one to judge you for your reasons. i won't be able to understand anyway. just stay away from my family and attend to yours.

Above is one thing that I find powerful. The circumstances that we see now is already the answer.

...belongs to the Lord. This happened because it had to happen. God sides with the righteous, NEVER with the sinner (or in this case, sinners).

How is your married life? How is your relationship with God? Moi? I am just thankful God prepared me for this day. I am overwhelmed with the outpouring of love and support, but above all, it is God's grace I am most thankful for.

Legalities are for the waste basket. In God's eyes, once you leave your mother and father, you CLEAVE to your husband and become ONE. And what God has put together, let NO MAN OR WOMAN separate. There are consequences to everything. I am just thankful I have God as my commander-in-chief. Et toi, who leads your battle?

Willie vs Joey continues

It was reported that Joey de Leon is on a tw0-week leave right now from Eat Bulaga. Reports said that he will be back on the show on the same date that Wowowee host, Wilie Revillame is expected to go back on the show.

It seems that Joey really timed his coming back on the show on the day of Willie's return. Well, the Joey-Willie rival continues. Expect the unexpected as it unfolds. The differences of the two personalities are evident for we all witnessed the backlashing. ........
