Mano Po... Mana Po?

When is a joke in good taste and when is it in bad taste?
Sharon Cuneta is said to have been “slighted” (to put it mildly) by a joke Wowowee host Willie Revillame cracked on her.
According to the grapevine, Sharon good-humoredly told Willie that he’s already very rich, adding, “Pasakay naman sa yacht mo.” The ever-tactless Willie is said to have replied, “Ayoko nga baka lumubog,” referring to Sharon’s weight (effects of the hypothyroidism she’s suffering from; the opposite, hyperthyroidism, causes the sufferer to lose weight) which she has learned to poke fun at as she did in BFF (Best Friends Forever), her recent starrer with Ai-Ai delas Alas (who has made her prominent chin an object of self-deprecating jokes).
Funfare sources said that it wasn’t that joke that offended Sharon but Willie’s follow-up joke insinuating at Sharon’s husband Sen. Kiko Pangilinan’s being a “womanizer” (which has been sufficiently denied by both Sharon and Kiko).
“Sharon has a right to be hurt,” said somebody close to the Megastar, “because Willie became personal in his joke. It hurt even more because during Willie’s ‘tag-hirap’ days, Sharon was one of the few stars who helped him financially. Or does Willie have such short memory?”
When Sharon guests in other shows (purposely to promote her movie, Mano Po 6: A Mother’s Love, Regal Films’ 2009 Metro Filmfest entry), she would make side comments like, “Mabuti pa dito sa show na ‘to, hindi ako nababastos.”
That’s about the only little fly in the ointment of Sharon’s life which has been “fruitful” in 2009 (and will continue to be even more so in the coming years). Her eponymous ABS-CBN show continues to do well in the ratings game, she did a successful US concert tour and finally said “yes” to Regal Matriarch Mother Lily who has been wooing her to do a Regal movie for more than a decade.
“The right project has come along,” said Sharon.
The movie is directed by Joel Lamangan (the “right” director) from a screenplay by Roy Iglesias (the “right” scriptwriter) and features an all-star cast including Heart Evangelista playing Sharon’s pasaway daughter and Sharon’s real-life BFF Zsa Zsa Padilla as the villain (with Kris Aquino in a special “guest” role as Sharon’s best friend). “When I got back from Boston (Where Kiko studied as a Harvard scholar — RFL) after two miscarriages, Mother Lily was the first producer to offer me a film project even if I was overweight. Since then, they have been waiting for the right material to present to me.”
In Mano Po 6: A Mother’s Love, Sharon plays a Chinese matriarch who wants to get back her estranged daughter at all costs, never mind if she has to pay P100 million to the girl’s boyfriend (Dennis Trillo) to stay away from her.
In real life, Sharon might not have that much money to spare, not that she has any problem with the guys linked to her daughter, KC Concepcion with whom Sharon denied having professional jealousy.
“I’m happy for KC,” insisted Sharon.
People might wonder why Sharon continues to work “like a horse: when she could very well slow down and enjoy “her millions.”
That’s not really the case.
I myself wondered that she could be referring to another show, also from ABS-CBN. I hinted that it could Willie Revillame's Wowowee. Months back, when she guested on Wowowee with Ms. Aiai delas Alas promoting their movie, BFF (Best Friends Forever), Sharon commented that she has not been invited yet to Willie's yacht, to which Willie retorted that his yacht will sink. The Megastar just laughed at it but definitely was offended by Willie's very sarcastic comment."Masaya ako rito sa Showtime dahil wholesome dito at hindi ako binabastos at ang taas-taas ng rating ninyo,” bulalas ni Megastar Sharon Cuneta nang mag-guest siya kahapon sa Showtime nina Vhong Navarro, Anne Curtis and Kim Atienza.
Hmmm, may nambastos na ba kay Mega?
Naku sa level niya, may maglakas ng loob pa kayang mambatos?
Whew!! Wow, how I wish I could have one like that, even without the diamonds. 
. The scene reminded me of a the movie "When Harry Met Sally." You've got to see this movie. 
Well, nah!!! 
I think I should keep my hands above the sheets.
Whoa, what did he mean by that? 
1) He is a Challenge: Getting a married man signifies a triumph of one woman over another woman. What makes him the ultimate catch to her could be his experience, confidence and authority. He's a trophy catch. To have him, is about making the impossible. Many women like to grab what belongs to another woman. Jealousy or revenge can be some reasons why women go for already married men. (Manny is a price catch indeed!!)
2) A Married Man has all the answers: Many women feel that a married man compared to a bachelor can meet her emotional or material needs (like Channel bag) in a better manner and have the answers to all her problems as he is more experienced in handling it.
3) Forbidden Fruit: The society is not very supportive of women who grab another woman’s man. A hooked and booked man is like a forbidden temptation which makes him irresistibly attractive to a woman. For many the food on someone else's plate always looks and tastes better than what they are having. It is the normal human tendency to crave for what you can't have. For some women having a married man at their beck and call increases self esteem.(Talaga lang ha!!!) (Really!!!)
4) No Strings: A Married Man is an ideal candidate for Women who are Career oriented (what career?) and do not wish to get married but want sex. When you pick someone clearly unavailable, you never have to struggle with real commitment and its risks and vulnerabilities.
5) Married Men are good at Bed: Many women feel that married men with a lot of sexual experience are a better catch than a bachelor who may be inexperienced. For some a married man is someone with whom they can indulge in their fantasies and who could provide a great time. (M1 or M2?)
6) Wild attraction: Some married men are irresistible and full of charm and love playing games. Many women find it difficult to resist the vibes send by such men. (Yeah sure, $20 Million)
7) Can’t find Eligible Single Men: Eligible single men are becoming scarce. One may be picking married men in order to beat the competition. (Survey says women outnumber men, could that be her reason?)
8) It may be Love: Love can happen to anyone. As the popular saying goes ‘love is blind’. And when someone is in love the fact that the object of love is already married is not going to matter much. (Hahamakin ang lahat, Love conquers all, Harangan man ng sibat, ni Jinkee?)
9) Mate Copying: Many women tend to believe that if another woman is either after a man or with a man, there must be something he possesses that's worthy of pursuit. (Of course, every fight is worth million, in dollars pa.)
10) Addicted to Sex or Paid for: Some women just want it with whoever is providing it. They don’t care if the man is hooked, booked or unavailable for commitment. (so which one does she fall under?)
